Ieuan Dolby, is a full-time marine consultant, investigator and active author based in Dundee, Scotland. Ieuan started out as an engineer in the Merchant Navy. Over twenty-five years later - at the top rank of Chief Engineer - he moved ashore as a Technical Superintendent for a UK based shipowner before relocating to Singapore. There he consulted on and investigated, numerous ship casualties, including sinking vessels, super-yacht fires, groundings and metal-screeching, fully-laden collisions. Today, having returned to Dundee in Scotland, with his wife and family, he continues advising on marine technical issues and casualties whilst writing articles and novels when he can - the sea mostly as the backdrop. His début novel 'Fall of the Suns' is published and he is now working on the 'Memoirs of Captain Silas E Park', a hilarious romp with the continually scuppered and retired sea Captain as he relives his career.
