Fat Michael’s – Great Food

My husband and I heard about this restaurant from a friend, who also advised us make prior reservations. Took his advice and did exactly that. We had some difficulty finding the place as it doesn’t have a big signage. Luckily we managed to spot the small sign tucked away behind some plants.

The place was rather small, apparently a house converted into a restaurant. Upon entering a wooden door, we were taken straight to our table since we had made reservations. It had a nice cosy feel, with antique-looking lights hanging from the ceiling, an old bookcase and pillows on the chairs. We ordered Paella, fruit and walnut salad, pumpkin soup, ice tea and pizza for the kids. The Paella was really good. So was the salad. My children enjoyed the pumpkin soup and finished their pizza. Should have seen my son’s face – “it’s yummy ma” he kept repeating. And the ice tea …just a sip and you would surely know its home-made ..such refreshing taste!

Would I go there again? Yes, why not? I have no reason not to. Food is great. Nice ambience. Friendly owners who greeted us and served us, especially “Lola” in dark glasses and trendy outfit. We had a good time.
